I appreciate you're patience with me for the last month or so as I purchased and moved into my new home. I have never bought a house on my own before, and man, is it a lot of work.
When I went through this ordeal last time, I had a husband, no kids, and a lot more free time than I do now. When I started looking for a new house back in April, in the crazy economic home buying market in Denver, Colorado, I never imagined I'd find the house in two weeks and close on the house in less than 30 days. So here I was, trying to work as a part-time single parent, continue building my new business and keep all the other ten balls in the air when I realized, I needed to prioritize and let a couple things go for the short term. Hence, me giving my website the silent treatment for a little bit.
If you're feeling overwhelmed and your anxiety is at an all time high - review everything on your 'to do' list and prioritize what NEEDS to happen, what would be NICE to happen and what you can let go without any real detriment to your overall life.
For me - that meant I had to let my social media presence slide for a bit until I could get my boxes packed and sorted. For you it may be something else - but my point is it's okay to not hold the whole world together. It's okay to let stuff fall off your list for a bit if it means your mental health and overall quality of life will be better for the short term.
I'm back baby and can't wait to continue sharing these tips and tricks with you every week.
Share with me when you were stressed out and what you ultimately had to let go.
